Karen S Johnson relocated to sunny Cape Coral, Florida in 2019 to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a full-time artist. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Karen's always been an artist at heart since childhood. She spent thirty years as a professional hair stylist in the Naperville, Illinois area and art was a big passion as well. Soon after moving to Florida Karen became a member of both Cape Coral and Ft Myers Art Leaque. Although proficient in many subjects including pet portraits, still life and landscapes, her award winning rubber ducky art has quickly become her trademark. They're so popular that she was chosen by the city of Cape Coral to do two installations on an electrical box on Cape Coral Parkway in front of the Panera Restaurant.
